ClimateActionWR is a collaborative partnership jointly led by Reep Green Solutions and Sustainable Waterloo Region. This program coordinates and facilitates activities in the Climate Action Plan to achieve the Region’s 6% greenhouse gas (GHG) reduction target by 2020.

Between 2010-2015, we achieved a 5.2% reduction in GHG emissions! But our work is not done yet. Last year, through the efforts of our awesome volunteers, we engaged with community members to create an ambitious greenhouse gas reduction target for 2050.

This year, we want to engage with community members in Waterloo Region to generate ideas on how we can contribute to GHG reduction, both at an individual and community level. And to achieve this goal, we are looking for outgoing and passionate volunteers such as yourselves to join our team!

Street Team Volunteer Role

As a general volunteer you will attend events in Waterloo Region (Cambridge, Kitchener, Waterloo, and the Townships) between July 2018 and September 2018, and chat with event participants about their ideas on how we can contribute to GHG reductions.

The time commitment for this role will be approximately two hours of training and 10 hours of volunteering over the 3-month engagement period (approximately 3 shifts).

Are you looking for a leadership role? Sign-up as a Shift Leader!
